I love the bandies. Actually, no. That’s an outright lie. I actually for many reasons do not enjoy the band at times and sometimes I even hate it. The people there drive me crazy and the practices can be frustrating and dreary. But the memories I have made with these people are amazing, heartbreaking, and hilarious all at once. And when we come together for events, such as tonight’s last concert, I get filled with a lot of emotion.

These guys have played a significant part in my entire high school career, and now that the ones who made it memorable are leaving, I’m not sure what to do with myself. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I love the seniors. In fact, a lot of them piss me off. But in true essence, the band will not be the same without them. With their crazy antics and musical talent, I wonder how next year’s will be. And the next year. And the next year. And so on and so forth. They were there when we first came in as freshmen. They teased and mocked us. Relationships began. The struggle to be noticed was apparent and annoying. Still, band will never be the same without them. Makes me wonder if our class will be as significant to the underclassmen as the seniors have been to us.

Thanks for the memories, seniors. I can only hope you’ll all succeed in the future, with or without music.
